Crazy, Wonderful Life

Wow, what a week!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the food, weather, the spicy fragrances... plus football! Whats not to love? Wednesday evening we had so much fun together carving our pumpkin and icing sugar cookies for Halloween. I feel so blessed to have a husband that values family time as much as I do. We just enjoy being together. Thursday it was back to work for the weekend.

After work Friday, we went out! When we found out the Eagles were coming to Lubbock we bough tickets immediately! The concert was supposed to be October 5th, butt was rescheduled twice. Of course, right in the middle of a 4 day work stretch. We went to Cafe J for an appetizer and glass of wine and then it was off to the concert. They were absolutely amazing. It was everything we were hoping for and more. Way more actually. We thought to ourselves...the concert starts at 8- there are no opening bands- they are getting older now...how long can it possible last? Ha ha well...they played for 3 1/2 hours! It was well worth it. Their vocals were still incredible and the guitar solos were great. I would say the most exciting moment for me was when they played Hotel California. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for sure!

I tiredly went to work Saturday and when I got off Nick and I headed to Dallas to watch the Cowboys play the Jaguars. We were invited by Ron Miller to go with them to the game and watch from their suite. It was my first cowboys game in the new stadium and Nick's first NFL game ever. What a way to go! The suite had a private bathroom, lounge chairs, a personal attendant, great food, and a full beverage supply. It was definitely one of the coolest things Ive ever experienced. We walked all around the stadium. I just cant say enough about what an amazing place it is. It made even that much more fun that we got to experience this with Matt & Kelsey,  my Aunt Rhonda & Uncle Marty, and the Ellis's. Thanks again to Ron and his family for inviting us!

It was a crazy week but well worth it. It is back to work for now. We are really looking forward to the holiday season and spending more time with our families and friends. Bye for now!

And you shall rejoice in all the good that the Lord your God has given to you and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the sojourner who is among you.
